About the Healing House Ministry

Like many ministries, The Healing House was birthed from personal life experiences that were meant to leave me disoriented, dysfunctional, and beyond repair. I have learned that when people stay disoriented, dysfunctional, and unrepaired, it is often not by choice but due to circumstances that prevent healing from taking place, such as support, finances, lack of faith, or they have never witnessed the healing power of Jesus. The Healing House Ministry exists to be a witness, restore, give hope, and be an example of complete healing through the presence and word of God. I sincerely ask you to join me in cultivating relationships because we need each other to realize this vision and mission.

Vision Statement

To build a legacy of community that cultivates relationships and helps others experience divine completion through the healing power of Christ.

Mission Statement

To reach people and help them heal through the word of God, leaving a legacy of hope that last for generations to come.

Our Founder

Psalm 107:20

20 He sent out his word and healed them;
    He rescued them from the grave.

2 Kings 19:30

30 Once more, a remnant of the kingdom of Judah
    will take root below and bear fruit above.

I was raised in Los Angeles, California, and the youngest of 12. Having only met 9 of my siblings,  I knew there was more to the story. By the grace of God, I was introduced to the Lord by my Godmother. As I received the Lord as my Savior, so came His salvation. The biblical meaning of salvation is saved from ruin, and that’s precisely what happened to me when I was introduced to Christ. At that moment, I was sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit. Initially, my knowledge was limited until I committed to more profound studies, which grew me spiritually and showed me how to apply God’s word to my life practically. This means seeking God’s truth when the culture or my family says I am not who God created me to be. At 18, I begin serving as a Sunday school teacher for students up to 16 years of age. It was one of my first significant spiritual growth periods because I had to learn the curriculum inside and out as a teacher.

As time passed, I served in the youth choir and youth ministry. As more time passed, I have been committed to serving in ministries such as family services, comfort and care, communications team members, women’s fellowship facilitator, and small group ministry leader. On a collegiate level, I came to my academic discipline when I saw areas where I could be of greater help, but I needed to set and reach new goals to help me become an expert in the field and transfer that knowledge to others.

My ultimate goal is in two parts. First, my personal goals are to take the talents and gifts God has blessed me with and give back to others. This desire sparked my interest because I come from a family of 12, and six children share the same mother (my mother). I am the first of my mother’s children to graduate from high school formally and the first generation to attend college (of all time). As a young lady, I was never introduced to college or anything academically that would increase my chances of having a better future. Most of my family members refused education, but I always knew God had different plans for me. I also learned that individuals are likelier to make better life-long decisions when literacy increases. Due to God’s favor, I have achieved my Doctoral Degree in Leadership and currently finishing my Ph.D in Organizational Management. Second, my personal goal is to grow The Healing House Ministry, helping others heal from various life crises with the word of God. It is a form of belief that no one should walk alone. One of the greatest gifts we can give others is our testimony. Our testimonies testify to God’s healing power, showing others that God is able.
